About the Role
Fusion Optix, part of 3LED Group, is seeking a Technical Sales & Applications Engineer to support and grow its advanced optics business. This is a customer-facing role within the sales organization, combining direct sales responsibility with technical application support.

You will be responsible for engaging inbound opportunities, developing solutions, and helping convert them into business, while building a strong foundation in optics, lighting systems, and application engineering.

This role is well-suited for someone who is outgoing, responsive, and motivated to build a long-term career in technical sales.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Ownership

  • Own and respond to inbound inquiries, technical questions, and RFQs
  • Engage customers to understand needs and develop appropriate solutions
  • Prepare and follow up on quotes and proposals to support conversion
  • Maintain consistent communication and ownership across active opportunities
Application Engineering

  • Recommend appropriate optical and system solutions based on application requirements
  • Support customer discussions with clear, practical technical guidance
  • Work with senior sales leadership on more complex opportunities
Technical Content & Product Support

  • Contribute to datasheets, application notes, and product documentation
  • Help improve product clarity, selection logic, and configuration structure
  • Support development of tools and guides for customers and internal teams
Sales Enablement & Growth

  • Build knowledge of key applications, markets, and customer needs
  • Support sales team and partners with product and application understanding
  • Develop into a more independent technical sales and applications leader over time

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Optical, or related field)
  • 2–6+ years of experience in lighting, LED systems, optics, or technical sales
  • Strong interest in a customer-facing, sales-oriented career path
  • Comfortable engaging customers and building relationships
  • Organized and responsive, with the ability to manage multiple inquiries and deadlines
  • Clear communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences
