As we continue to scale, we are building a more centralized supply chain organization to improve sourcing leverage, supplier coordination, inventory management, and logistics execution across our businesses and manufacturing operations.
Position Summary
3LED Group is seeking an experienced Supply Chain & Sourcing Specialist with a strong background in electronics procurement and supply chain coordination.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role focused on sourcing, purchasing coordination, supplier management, and logistics support for electronic components and related materials used in lighting and electronics manufacturing.
The ideal candidate has experience purchasing items such as PCBs, connectors, drivers, power supplies, passive components, wire harnesses, and related electronic assemblies. Experience within the lighting industry is preferred but not required.
This role will be based in Woburn, Massachusetts and will work as part of a centralized supply chain team supporting multiple operations, including close collaboration with localized purchasing and materials planning teams in Vermont and other company locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Electronics Sourcing & Procurement:
- Source and manage suppliers for electronic components and assemblies including PCBs, connectors, passives, LEDs, drivers, power supplies, and related materials.
- Support purchasing activities across multiple business units and manufacturing locations.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, MOQs, and supplier terms.
- Monitor open orders, supplier commitments, and delivery schedules.
- Work proactively to mitigate shortages, supply disruptions, and long lead-time risks.
- Identify alternate sourcing opportunities and cost reduction initiatives.
Supplier & Supply Chain Management:
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships with domestic and international vendors.
- Coordinate closely with contract manufacturers, distributors, and component suppliers.
- Track supplier performance related to cost, quality, delivery, and responsiveness.
- Support vendor qualification and onboarding activities.
- Assist with forecasting and supply planning coordination.
Logistics & Operational Support:
- Coordinate inbound domestic and international shipments.
- Work with freight forwarders and logistics providers as needed.
- Support inventory management and material availability for manufacturing operations.
- Partner with engineering, operations, and planning teams to resolve supply chain issues quickly.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with local purchasing and materials planning teams, including the Vermont operations team.
- Support centralized supply chain initiatives and process improvements.
- Maintain accurate ERP/MRP data and purchasing records.
- Help improve reporting, visibility, and supply chain execution across the organization.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in electronics sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain roles.
- Strong familiarity with electronic components and supply chains.
- Experience purchasing items such as PCBs, connectors, passives, drivers, LEDs, power supplies, and related assemblies.
- Experience working with manufacturers, distributors, and contract manufacturing partners.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and inventory-driven manufacturing environments.
- Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate independently.
- Strong communication and vendor management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the lighting or LED industry.
- Familiarity with Asian supply chains and overseas vendors.
- Experience supporting manufacturing or assembly operations.
- APICS, CSCP, CPSM, or similar certifications are a plus.
Location
This role is based in Woburn, MA and will work closely with team members across multiple company locations, including Vermont operations. Some travel may be required.
Compensation
Compensation will be competitive and based on experience and qualifications.
